Easter

img_2492.JPG

We had a nice Easter. On Sunday we invited all our Provo siblings for dinner–thanks Paula for getting us a ham! This year we didn’t want to deprive Kimi of her hunt, so we had a little Easter Egg hunt for her on Saturday afternoon in our spacious backyard. Afterward she was going crazy with the candy, so Mike took them away, which of course devastated her, “My eggs! My eggs!” So he emptied them out and gave her back her eggs in her bag and she was happy! She hasn’t asked for her candy since then! She has been carrying around her empty eggs around the house wherever she goes.

The last little ones

img_2474.JPG

So, for the last week we have been dealing with her last set of molars. We didn’t understand why her “tongue” was hurting, and then after the temperature and the loss of appetite, Mike looked in her mouth. It’s been so fun getting up with not only an infant, but a two year old as well.  So, in between the times her “tongue” hurts (or so she says), I still get to enjoy smiles like these.

A Month late

img_2480.JPG

Ok, so I am a month late on posting this. I just had to show ya’ll these flowers that Mike got me for Valentine’s Day. They were very pretty, but the nice thing about them was that they lasted for a LONG time. So if you are ever interested in getting something different than your classic rose, buy the mixed peruvian lilies.

And this is what Kimi and I gave to Mike.

kid pics

dsc_9909.JPGSo, I had a friend take some pictures of the kids, and I think I might have done it too late at night, because Kimi was obviously not interested.

So I think we might do another photo session so that we could at least get one shot of them altogether. Noah is getting so big–he’s now over 15 lbs. and wearing 6-9 mo clothes at just barely 3 months of age. So yeah, my arms get a great workout during the day, and carrying him in his carseat is getting just way too heavy. He’s really close to growing out of that too. We’ve discovered that he has acid reflux, which is not fun AT ALL. Kimi had it too about this age. I don’t think his Prevacid has kicked in yet either. The way he eats the best is by us holding him and standing up. Arggghhh, he’s too heavy.

Great Reads

So over the past 2 or 3 weeks I’ve read Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Series.  They are GREAT, kinda girly books, but quite entertaining.  I could hardly set the books down.  Those who haven’t read them probably think they are silly reading about vampires and werewolves, but it’s only because you haven’t read them :)  I made fun of my sisters and my mother constantly, and now they got me hooked.  Hopefully the movie that will be coming out the end of this year that is on the first book turns out ok.  I’m a a little skeptical about some of the characters they are casting.

Our little angel

Family has been asking for some pictures of Noah, so here is one, although it is a month ago. But he’s so cute, so I’ll add another one soon. And a couple of people have tagged me to write things about my husband–and yeah…not so good about getting on that. I can hardly keep my blog updated every couple of weeks with pictures and other important things. Sorry, guess I’m a slacker. 🙂

Little Kimi

I feel like all I’ve been adding to our blog is about Noah, so I thought I’d mention my other child. Kimi is two and a half, hard to believe. She is at such a fun stage right now. She’s talking A LOT, and it’s now kinda fun to carry on a conversation with someone in our house during the day. She says the funniest things and loves to hang out with mom and Noah during the day, but once Dad gets home she is right by his side. She definitely prefers him putting her to bed because he sings the coolest songs. Mike is the best dad to our kids. Kimi’s favorite snack is probably apples and popcorn. She loves taking care of her brother, and her favorite thing to do is to change her outfit twenty times a day. Most of those outfits are dresses. If she had her choice, she would wear her nice Sunday dresses every day of the week. What a girlie girl she is!

Noah’s blessing

Wow, so I haven’t updated our blog in a while. So I’ll start with the first weekend of this month, which was a GREAT weekend. We had Noah’s baby blessing, and both sets of parents were able to make it, despite all the horrible roads and bad weather. Neither of them would have made the trip without 4 wheel drive. My parents took their own private detour through the mountains on their way home so that they wouldn’t have had to spent the night on the pass (thank heavens for a GPS), and Mike’s parents’ trip turned out to be 17 hours, instead of 11 or 12. But they made it! which we are so grateful they could come. Noah was a perfect angel the whole weekend, well, he is most of the time anyway. He looked so cute in his little sweater suit. He kept trying to eat his little bowtie. I didn’t get too many good pictures of him, but here are a couple.blessing-weekend-007.jpgblessing-weekend-002.jpg

snapshots of my darling children

I thought that I would post a few pictures I took of the kids the other night. Kimi is wearing the tutus that Grandma Paula made for her when she came to visit. Kimi’s latest thing is that she has to wear a dress every single day. So Grandma helped us out by making her some she could play in. She also likes to change her clothes multiple times and take off her diaper in the process. I’ve gotten really good at taping it around the waist. It will be nice once she’s potty trained so we don’t have to fight that constantly. Don’t know if you can tell, but Noah has got some great hair–it likes to go straight up! Kimi loves being a big sister!

Update on Noah

We wanted to let you all know that Noah is feeling much better. He’s pretty much over his RSV, thank heavens. We wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and your prayers. I think that last week was the most tense and horrible week of my life. It was so hard to see our sweet little newborn suffer with such a nasty virus, and not be able to do much about it. Now I don’t frantically wake up in the middle of the night to a baby choking on his mucus. He’s lots more content with life, and we’re starting to get some smiles out of him. 🙂 We just hit the 6 week mark, so I am WAY excited to start exercising again to work off my baby weight. And I think we’ve come to the conclusion that his eyes are blue, not brown.  And we still can’t figure out who he looks like. We know he’s our kid, but we can’t pinpoint many similar features. He’s definitely different than Kimi–he’s got paler skin, blue eyes, two eyebrows and a BIG appetite. We’ll try to upload some recent pictures of him. They change so often at this age.
